A New Begining

It's been a long time since I last wrote something, I picked up a pen and a lot of water has run under the bridge, but the excitement I feel in the game world is still with me and makes me want to grab it. Count slowly!

Many avid gamers have a circle of friends and family around them that I call "social gamers". These people enjoy games when they find them, but rarely buy them themselves and consider board games a hobby. However, it was these people on the margins of diehard fans that got me interested in starting writing again. Specifically, this short post claims:

• I went to my friends BBQ (no games) and as soon as the tables were cleared, there were friends storming their son's little playset so we could play a game or two: straws, heck -hack, and hey, that's mine. Fish! This is the first time after more than 20 years of friendship!

But this new fuel is more

• Mention the latest board game (and Friday lunch collection) to coworkers and ask them to come back and say, "You mean board games, I love board games!" I loved playing it when I was a kid, and now I have kids..." The next conversation reveals that you never know about "modern board games" and those who know the movie "The Matrix". It's like he's taking a red pill. His eyes are wide open. and I don't think he's happy with the holiday toy he's picking now!Purchase wasn't the player's choice but it was a great little game, however, Sherlock proved to be a huge success with his family.Players will surely be happy to know that the other purchases are for Galaxy , Pandemic, Commune , Volspa and Race . detours _
  
• When he gives his London On Board meeting group to other colleagues (and their group members lunch break), he goes on vacation and spends 5 hours playing with strangers and strangers.
  
• Combining Jeff's love of food and games for modern dance , we host monthly dinners where different people bring different dishes and swap each dish for a game. Dancing Friends had never played a game before, but the combination of good friends, good food and good play was really fun.
  
• After a trip to Essen last year, my social gaming buddies were interested in Sheep Racing , which I didn't buy, and when I did, they were looking for copies to play with their family and friends.
  
• And finally, to introduce game designers to the team at work and to see how publishing and gaming games for schools came to be (more on that in a later post).

It should also be noted that the Crowborough Playgroup, although not prominent in the local pub, is alive and well and meets in various homes between Tunbridge Wells, Hailsham and Hayward Heath and attracts a large number of members. new arrivals .
This pool is a bit random but active and has a large collection of games among its members. The only sad part (from my point of view) is that I was hoping to create a social game group, and now it's just a game group!
